Gentle Dread

A contemporary collection of female-led short stories grappling with identity, romance, grief, family, feminism and politics. Each story has a distinct genre theme, from psychological thriller and superheroes to sci-fi and horror, and centres on a woman going through it. Think Black Mirror meets Daphe Du Maurier meets Kurt Vonnegut.

After a morning from hell, Dina crosses paths with a mysterious, charming stranger. Deciding to throw caution to the wind, she ditches her responsibilities and spends the next 22 hours exploring London by his side, before his flight takes him away the next morning. From the London Aquarium to unexpected adventures at the cinema, karaoke, a drug-induced drag disco, bus squabbles, and a run in with her ex, Dina discovers she doesn't need a man to complete her - she can complete herself.
